Xolo has launched a brand new smartphone focused on selfie shots, the Opus 3, that’s pictured below. This model is priced at $134 and integrates a 5 megapixel wide angle camera at the front.
The device also features an 8 megapixel back camera with Sony Exmor R sensor and dual LED flash. Xolo Opus 3 packs a 5 inch HD display with an IPS panel, a 1.3 GHz quad core processor inside and 1 GB of RAM. There’s 8 GB of internal storage in the mix, a microSD card slot and a 2500 mAh battery. As far as connectivity goes, we’ve got dual SIM card slots, 3G support and WiFi, plus Bluetooth.

Apple Gets 25 New Patents Covering Camera Stabilization
The US Patent and Trademark Office has published a series of 25 new patents granted to Apple, including some related to popular devices. The most interesting of them has to do with a product that hasn’t been launched yet: a MacBook with WiFi and Cellular.
Other patents granted by USPTO include an audio user interface and camera stabilization, the software type, the likes of which we’ve seen on the iPhone 6. Back to the MacBook, it already was able to get calls from the iPhone and texts, but a cellular version may bring that natively, without needing an iPhone. The Apple patent for audio user interface is actually a bit older and it was visionary in its day. It foresaw a Siri-style interface for Carplay and the iPhone and iPod, even before there was an iPhone.
The stabilization patent refers to systems able to stabilize video frames based on information from a motion sensor. The data is used to counter balance the motion or compensate the jitter caused by a person’s hand shake. This is Auto Image Stabilization, that comes via software, not the OIS from the iPhone 6 Plus.

OnePlus Store Opening on December 20th, for a More Personal Experience With the Company’s Products
Apparently, OnePlus is going big, since they’re preparing to open up their own OnePlus Store, that will keep the identity of the brand and apply it to a small HQ of their own. There was already a media event at the location of the future store, as shown by the pictures below.
The shop is located in Beijing, the Blue Harbor district and it will start operation on December 20, after a trial period starting on December 1st. This looks like a very posh locations, with white and gray as the main colors, just like the OnePlus products. Wood is the main choice for all paneling done in the store, all the chairs and tables and the vibe of this place is something like “Apple met Ikea and had a baby”.

Inside the store you’ll obviously be able to play with the OnePlus One, a special JBL edition of the phone and the bamboo limited edition of the device. There are also headphones, speakers and other accessories showcased to the interested people. Since there’s a pair of stairs in there, I imagine there’s also a second floor and that area is supposed to feel homey and welcoming. Official launches will happen there as well as training and parties for people involved with OnePlus.
There’s also a small bar setup here, so people can get drinks. Nice initiative coming from a company that didn’t even exist one year ago!
